To be honest; I, myself, wouldn't mind, I would even be a lot happier if I were surrounded by other species. I'd rather be around animals than mankind. No egos, no sugarcoated selfishness... My dog is sleeping beside me now and we are in such a peace that does not allow any concerns, any doubt or fear. Our only fear is losing each other and we both could do anything in order to protect the other one. Well forgive me if I start barking in the near future, but I would gladly accept the offer of becoming a dog in the blink of an eye, so that I could understand her every concern and smell just like her when I'm sleeping..
